Job Description – Medical Receptionist
Job Summary –
Perform medical assistant front desk duties using specific knowledge of medical terminology.
clinic. or laboratory procedures. Duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments.
compiling and recording medical charts. reports. and correspondence and maintaining confidential
medical files. Data entry of patient demographics. Greeting patients and collecting
copays/ deductibles at checkout.
Tasks and Responsibilities –
coming into office.
Medicaid patients are eligible at every visit. Verification forms must be complete when
speaking to a representative make sure to reference# given during conversation. if via
website indicate on verification form via website
and valid. Making sure authorizations are obtained also for Workers Comp DME and Medicaid
Plan Patients. Exam (Superior,Commercial,Aetna,Medicaid)
obtain and enter all demographics for new patients
co-insurances and deductibles based off verifications.
pm clinic time and will need to stay until last patient is checked out. Front desk should never
be left unattended.
