Dr. Walter “Wally” Strash is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and Carleton University. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgeries. In 1991, Dr. Strash founded Alamo Family Foot and Ankle Care, P.A.
In addition to evaluating and treating patients, Dr. Strash is active in various clinical research projects with an interest in diabetic foot ulcers and pain management, a lecturer and consultant, an associate professor at the University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery, and serves on the board of the Specialty Surgery Center. Additionally, he has been published in numerous medical journals and books, including Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Foot and Ankle Quarterly, The Journal of Foot Surgery and Principles & Practice of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Strash is married with four children. He is an instrument-rated private pilot flying to Uvalde, Texas for patients, as well as other locations, providing medical and legal advice to patients and attorneys. When he’s not working, Dr. Strash enjoys water sports and Taekwondo, and spends most weekends with his family.
Dr. Boyd Bills is passionate about foot and ankle care. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he went on to study podiatric medicine and surgery at Kent State University and learned to diagnose and treat ailments of the lower extremities.
He trained within the orthopedic department at Swedish Covenant Hospital in the northern part of Chicago, IL. He studied and practiced extensively in both foot and ankle care from ankle fractures to hammertoes and bunions and everything in between. Since graduating from residency, Dr. Bills has spent the last three years honing his skills in San Antonio, becoming an expert in ankle reconstruction, arthroscopy, total ankle replacement surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, and neuropathy.
Dr. Bills enjoys spending time doing projects around the house with his wife and children. They play all sorts of games together and enjoy their routine dance parties. He also enjoys time playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors.

Lisa Baine has been with Strash Foot & Ankle Care since its inception 29 years ago. Throughout her career, Lisa has managed all aspects of the business, including billing, client relations and general operations. A graduate of the University of Mississippi – or Ole’ Miss – Lisa earned her BBA with an emphasis in management studies. Prior to joining the Strash Foot & Ankle Care family, Lisa worked for University Orthopedic Associates at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. When Lisa isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her son, Connor.

Bella Strash is currently attending the inaugural School of Podiatric Medicine (SOPM) at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) class of 2026. During her undergraduate studies at Texas Christina University, University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas A&M College Station, Bella studied biology and became interested in the podiatric medicine and surgery fields. During weekends and semester breaks, Bella attended NVSION cadaver labs focusing on lower extremity anatomy experience, as well as observed her father, Dr. Wally Strash, in the operating room. Bella’s interests also include research. She looks forward to completing her studies and becoming a podiatrist like her father.
