Yesterday, I had the pleasure of Ms. Henley Johnson accompanying and observing me in the operating room for a reconstructive surgery at Christus Santa Rosa Alamo Heights Hospital.

Henley is a junior at Alamo Heights High School and she tells me she wants to follow in her grandfather’s foot steps and become a neurosurgeon. She asked very good questions and interacted with the operating room staff, well. I know this poised and intelligent young lady will do it!

It’s ALWAYS such an honor and privilege for me to mentor — I don’t know what is more gratifying, sharing my knowledge or gaining knowledge from these incredible young adults — either way, I am very blessed to have so many opportunities to interact and engage with these terrific kids!
